Hi,

I want to connect my project to OID by user groupware.
In the options pane of the User Groupware page I set the server in xxx-xxx.xx.xxx form, set the port and db, but when I try to connect, it is unsuccessful.
When I log the connection attempts at OID side, I realize that WebDev puts a domain at thet end of my username.

For example, server name is hello-act.hu.abc, username is "user", and the connection attempt uses username "user.hu.abc".

How can I solve this?
I want use username "user", or "user@provider.domain"

Thanks

Peter

Hi Peter,

I have no idea is you'll be able to change things on the webdev side, so
could you instead juste leave "user" on the webdev side, and create
"user.hu.abc" on the Oracle side?

This way, the translation made by webdev would match what oracle understand

Best regards

Hi Fabrice,

thx Your answer.
Unfortunately, I cannot change anything on OID side. We have our policy on company level, OID is unchangeable this way.
We have servers, the server I want to use is hello-act.hu.abc.
And we have users, the user I want to use is user, wich is equals user@company.hu in connections.
Users CN in AD is user@company.hu, DC=company, DC = hu

You can see, username and OID server "domain" (characters after dot following server name) differs.
But all the other applications can connect to OID without problem. Users enter user + password, ant the applications call OID by user@company.hu, and get answer.

I tried to connect to AD directly, but there was an other problem: WebDev sent to AD user@company.hu, and this was equal with AD's CN. But WebDev expected back the AD's UPN, wich was the users email address: firstname.surname@company.hu.

So it's difficult to us to connect any user directory for authentication, and I can see any solution :-(

Hi Fabrice,

thx for Your answer.

Unfortunately, I cannot change anything on OID side.
We have preset servers and users there with all of their formats.
Thee server I want to connect is hello-act.hu.abc
The user I want to use is user, wich is user@company.hu in the AD.

Is there any method for changing the translation on WebDEv side?
