WB20 Edit control of type HTML, how remove scroll bars?

On a WebDev edit control for HTML I cannot remove the scroll bars. I have tried setting the Overload horizontal and vertical settings (Style tab) to invisible or automatic, but that has no effect. When I run the test there are always both horizontal and vertical scroll bars. If I change the edit to "multi-line text" the scroll bars go away, but they always come back when the control is set to HTML. I have tried a new edit control in several different projects, with different skins and different WebDef styles. Always the same scroll bars. How do I get rid of them???
