upgrade HFSQL C/S

I developed an app for a client in WinDev20 C/S and I am now using WinDev22 and would like to upgrade the client (manually). Can I just install the V22 server on the client's server over the V20 instance or should I uninstall V20 first? Any other caveats?

Hi, it's an upgrade OR new install. So, you just start the HFSQLCS.....exe on the server and tell it to update the server. If you're at it, recommendatioon is to upgrade to v23 and not to v22 (download HFSQLCS v23 from the French web site).

I tried that... now my server is completely in French!

Hi, "your server" is not in French, it may be that your HF Control Center is shown in French. Did you notice the "flag" symbol in the lower left corner? Simply switch to English there and that's it ...

I have never noticed that flag before. Every once in a while my V20 HF Control Center would switch to French spontaneously and I would have to restart it.
