One of our clients has a Window 2208R2 server running under Citrix and I have admin rights on the server

When I run WDModfic the user permissions dissapear on the files that have their structure changes and the files apear in Explorer with a padlock icon. I think WDModifc creates a new empty file with the new structure and then brings the data into from the old file.

The response from the clients tech support is :
"So it looks like your software doesn’t respect file inheritance and creates its own permissions on files if it isn’t restricted to not be able to."

I can't believe that PCSoft would construct a utility program to work in that manner and this is the only site where I have the problem. Other sites run MS Server - all versions to 2012 and a few other odd combinations with mutliple users in Win7

I think the issue is to do with the way the permissions are setup and/or Citrix as this is the only site that runs Citrix.

Any ideas ?

I will also see what PCSoft tech support think.

Regards
