Supplier invoices come in different formats so I am prepared to create templates for each supplier if it is required. Hopefully the software will recognise a pdf file when it is opened and apply the correct template for the OCR. I want the software to reside on my web server and I want to be able to execute it from a Windev application that will be running on that server. So it must either have an API or I must be able to use command line tools. I have seen references to Tesseract on the forum but I'm not sure if it will be able to do the template bit. It also looks complicated. I would rather pay for something where I know I will get support. Thanks in advance for any pointers.
