I did some tests with the native MSSQL driver (thanks to a colleague who was so kind to lent me he code for this) and it seems to be faster indeed, as is the main advantage afaik.

I'm going to offer this option to one of my clients and need to know the steps involved.
1. Of course we are buying a legal copy from pcsoft.
2. I need to alter the connection in my app to use this driver. No problem.

And next?
Do I need to install this driver on all possible client machines, using the serialnr from pcsoft? Or is it enough to copy WD200sqlserver.dll to the map with all other WX-dll's?
Do I need to do something on the sql-server as well?

Switch from OLEDB to MSSQL native driver - what do I need to do

Hi Adri,

pcsoft says it is a 'per server' license. So I thought the serial would protect illegal use in some way.
