I’ve been developing using Clarion from Softvelocity since 1992 but have noticed that Softvelocity is not keeping themselves up to date with what the market demand is for developers. I am using the latest version and cannot run it on Windows 8, 8.1 or 10, it keeps crashing at random. Fairly stable using it on Windows 7. I have been looking at WinDev environment for some time now and is at the point to make a move and change. I have now played with the two “Express” versions and find it very good. What I need is the honest opinion from WInDev developers on the environment, cross platform integration and stability. If there are any x-Clarion developers, can you let me know how easy the transformation was?
