Hello,

I've developed a site using webdev 20 and deployed it into a server with the application server 20, 10 connections version.

However, as the usage growth, I needed to update the application server to a full version, so I bought the application server version 21, after make sure it supported deployment from previous versions.

My site is installed without incidents and runs normally with the application server 10 connections v.20.

When I updated to the application server version 21 full, the site stopped working. I managed to get it online again by using the site migrator.

However, when I needed to update the site, using the package deployed from webdev 20 (the method I being using thus far with the app. serrver 20), the site stopped working again.

The package installment trhows an error at the end. "The site has not been associated with the webdev account". The files are copied to destination, however. If I remove the site from the application server and add it again from the files copied with the installer, the site is added again without errors but when I try to open it using the browser I see a page with an error:

The <my site name> site is unknown: it was not configured for webdev.

32, ERR_NO_APPLICATION

The system cannot find the file specified (2)

Hello,
I'm not sure, but I thought that you must upgrade your webdev20 application to webdev21 or you need the webdev serverapplication version 20.

Hi Roy, thank you for your answer.

I've thought about that but I wanted to avoid those solutions since 1) I must pay to pursue those solutions 2) application server 21 full, for which I've paid, says it supports deployment of earlier versions of websites and 3) then, since app. server 21 should work but it doesn't, I'm not confident in paying for an alternative solution which should work but I'm not sure since this experience....

Thank you very much!

Hi Leo,

When you installed webdev server 21, it asked a question about
supporting older version of application. As you say that it worked at
some point, it means that you answered yes, so that side should be good.

Now, your error message being "The site has not been associated with the
webdev account", you can probably solve the problem by running the
webdev administrator, click on the account button, and associate your
website manually with the webdev user.

Best regards

Hello Fabrice, thank you for your answer.

I've already tried that. The user is assigned to the website, I needed to manually set the paths for the www root folder, ftpfolder, data folder, etc, before doing that, and tried to re-install the site after this modifications. The error persists:

Thank you very much!
