Hi friends,

Request Details:

1 ) When i am trying to open the file JournalOpération.fic using WDlog.exe

it is giving this message ...."The selected Hyper File 7.5 is not logged
.......Use WDMAP to view its contents"

I want to bring to your notice that the help defined for WDlog contains the
following text .....But the Step 6 is not available in the WDLog.exe Tool.

************************************
To start the integrity check of a log file:

1. Start WDLog.EXE. (This is working)

2. Select the "Manage log files" option (Click the book). (This is working)

3. Select the "Menu..Open a log" option. (This is working)

4. Select the log file for your application (JournalOpération.fic file).
(This is giving the message mentioned above in point (1) and is not displaying
any information).

5. The content of the JournalOpération.fic file is displayed. (Not displaying
any information)

6. Select the "Operations..Check integrity" option. (This option is not available
in the WDLog tool)

7. If a problem is found, WDLog automatically offers to fix it.

8. If some operations cannot be accessed anymore, WDLog offers to purge the
log. If you accept, WDLog displays the number of records affected. If you
validate, these records will be removed from the JournalOpération.fic file.

2) I want to purge all the log files and their history as I have developed
an application and have performed some operations on the database for testing
purpose. Now I want to purge all the log files so that when the real data
is entered it just should include these operations in the log file. I also
want to know if I can have all these files in the directory that is defined
by me.

3) My application includes the following:

In the data model editor….under the File…..Misc….I have
selected to have the following options

a) The Logging ….Write-to-file-log+File Access History
b) Log directory….Default file directory
c) Access directory…Default file directory

Stored Acesses : Read / Write

Please Advise.
