Hello Everyone,
The time has come to forget my embarrassment in not being able to figure this out and just ask the question.
I'm an old Business Basic and Cobol programmer. I know what I want to do but not how to do it in WinDev. To put it in old text based programming terms,
I have the value for a key and I want to read a record from a file. How do I do that?
I have a Hyper File with a multi-key. I can build the value of the key but can't seem to read the record. Do I use hRead or hReadFirst or hReadSeek or what? Is it not possible to just simply read a record? Do you have to go into a loop and compare? Do you have to build a query?
I know that it has got to be simple and that I have a mental block. Any help to get me through this mental block will be greatly appreciated!
