Hi,

I create for now sites for English Language.

WebDev in the URL puts /UK/ which is fine but the generator to my mind creates the wrong language.

it puts:

<html lang="UK" class="no-js html5" manifest="UK/mynodemax_com.manifest">
instead of:
<html lang="en" class="no-js html5" manifest="UK/mynodemax_com.manifest">

Can see codes here:

Google chrome wants to translate to English...

Now I wonder what if anything this does to SEO. That I don't know.

On this of course I could be wrong.

Thanks

Tony

Hi,

A bit more research is it meant to be "en" or "GB" or "en-uk" or "en-gb"

Now can I amend this or does this need to be a fix/update from PCSoft?

One thing for sure not "UK"

http://www.w3schools.com/tags/ref_language_codes.asp

This says "en-gb" or "en"
http://blog.i-evaluation.com/2013/04/11/html5-iso-language-code-table-language-culture-names/

All I know is chrome wants to translate it to English and it may well confuse the search engines.

Thanks

Tony
