Problems with FTP

I'm beginner in WebDev.
When i try to deploy a site by FTP, i?m getting this message "ERRFTP FINCGI " and i don't found any help about it.
What can Ido?

I am trying to follow your tutorial for installing on Linux. I am running Ubuntu. I have tried to install WebDev Test Server on Linux in the past with no luck.

My main problem now is that I can't get the WebDev_Install_Test executable to run. I set the permissions and make sure it can run as an applicationm, but when I run it by double-click in Gnome nothing happens and when I try from the terminal it doesn't even recognize the File as being there if I run something like /home/myname/webdevinstall/WebDev_Install_Test.

I really need to get this working for a Linux only application. Any suggestions.
