Remote access overview
The remote access feature enables you to consult a Hyper File database via Internet/Intranet or also via Switched Telephone Network (STN).
This operation is totally transparent for WinDev applications, just open the analysis on the remote station using the HConnectRemoteAccess function (or HOpenAnalysis).
Note:RPC: Remote Procedure Call

Remote access usefulness
Often different users have a need to access the same database. When these users are all located at one site, they use a standard network application. For remote users without direct access to their company's network, a specific Internet/Intranet development is necessary.
Hyper File data management through remote access allows you to use the Internet/Intranet (or STN) without specific development work.

Per Manual
Have at look at SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol)
Because SOAP uses to Stansard Protocols
XML : for the message structure
HTTP : for the Data tranfer
It is Independant from the OS and Programming Languages
And because of HTTP firewalls are not a problem.

Yes, possible using WDACGI, see the under mentionned site.
HF files are used with Windev as usual.
