Webdev Mobile Connection Issue

Hi everyone,

I am working on a Android app for a tablet which connect to a webservice (it have a SQLite database too), and this webservice connect to a oracle database. That webservice is implemented in WebDev 19. I have control of both projects.

I have a stable versión of the app and work fine in device and Android emulator: it get connection to the functions of the webservice.

I have to do changes to the Android app (and of course the webservice).

My changes work great in emulator, but in device don't work.

I installed the stable version on my tablet and work fine, even with the modificated version of webservice (using functions already created in webservice). I can modify, recompile and generate the APK from this stable version, works fine. But when I update the webservice (right click on webservice of the project explorer and select update) to update structures and functions the app doesn't work in device (still work fine in emulator).

I found the reason: my app doesn't trigger web server functions and get "" or 0 from them. I know that because i created a function which insert data in oracle table and return a string. It triggered in emulator but in device didn't .

I analyzed connections to the webservice (from WebDev Administrator in the server) and I could see the app connecting to it (stable version from device and stable and modified version from emulator), but the modified version on my device did not.

I think is important to remember stable version of app works with modified version of webservice (without update the modificated version of webserver).

Best regards.

Hi

try instead to REMOVE the webservice from your project, then CLOSE the
project, and reopen it

Then import the NEW webservice, and recompile

I think I remember the update process not being functional

Best regards
