Hello Everyone
Newbie using WinDev 7.5
There is an Example in French, Comptabilite
Which I think means Accounts/General Ledger
Is there an English version of this example somewhere
What i can work out, it could be quite useful for a Project
i am thinking of starting.
but my french is non existant, even with the help of Systrans
things still do not make sense eg:
- Liasse in English Translates to - Bundle ??
whilst on the subject, is there a Tranlation Program available
better than Systran, that will do a literal translation.
any help will be appreciated.
TIA
Tom

Hi Tom,
Comptabilité means Accounting.
There is no translation of it in English and I don't think PCSoft will be planning a translation since the example is based on the French/Belgian accounting standards and legal requirements. So it is really an example deliberately created for teh french market I think. Maybe they migh be creating an example according to e.g. US GAAP (US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards one day, but I wouldn't expect it anywhere soon...
Best regards,
Peter

Hello Peter
thank you for your reply.
i am an accountant, and have started developing an
General Ledger/ Nominal Ledger depending on which neck of
the woods you come from.
I have noticed on the PC-Soft Example they have used default
Debit and Credit Postings, by use of Liasse (Groups I suppose)
i have noticed that you have done and made available a lot of your
efforts with WinDev, congratulations to you.
i think i can put together an integrated accounts package.
i have developed in another language a fully integrated package.
1: General Ledger
2: Accounts Payable
3: Payroll
4: Cheque Reconcilliation
5: Order Entry
6: Accounts Receivable
7: Inventory
8: Purchase Orders
9: Point of Sale
10: Contact Management
11: Appointment Scheduling
12: List Management
13: Job Cost Reporting
14: Expense Report Tracking
Maybe, with some collabiration we can work some thing out.
Regards
Tom
