V12 WDMap supports the new filter option for columns by right clicking on the magnifying glass and using this you can display subsets of records.
In earlier versions you could do the same thing from the display menu or Ctlr Q
There is however a problem if you set column filters and then try and delete the filtered records that are displayed. The delete process does not respect the filters and deletes every record in the file.
The delete warning prompt onscreen is the same as usual and asks "Do you want to delete all visible records" so you would assume that that is all it would do but it deletes every record.
We only use WDMap internally to check data while developing, but still a nasty surprise.

Al,
Thanks for the warning- definitely a good thing to know. For what it's worth, this has not been my experience with the Hyperfile Control Center. Deletions in that case seem to only effect the selected records.
