I sure hope someone out there can help me with my little problem. I have looked and looked for an exact match to my question but can't find anything on it. I have programmed in COBOL a long time ago but have no experience with VB.

I want to be able to enter a value to a form, then save that value to a table so that I can draw it into a report. I want to be able to enter the beginning value of an inventory item then keep a running total of inventory for the period of time I select on the report. I have the queries set up to draw out all the transactions by item number for a given period of time and can take them to the report. I just need an opening figure for the report to have it all work as desired. I just don't have the time to learn the whole ballgame at this time or keep looking for an example.

I would be most happy to get the code for a module to do the task of moving the entered value to a table or intervening storage location so that I can get it to appear on the table.

Can anyone help me?
