Hi Guys,
I'm Nouman from Paksitan.I just started learning Windev which means that i'm a beginner. I'm building an application for Retail Outlets. I want to connect Head Office with the Branch Application and share data files. Can anyone please guide me how can i do that? Please help Guys ! !

Hi Nouman

I would recommend using Hyperfile Client/Server if your remote links are fast enough. A better way is to host your application on a Terminal Server. Either way everyone is using the same database in real time. I.e. No replication required.

Hi,

the first possibility to learn about this issue is to run the tutorial. Another is to read the help. Under Client/Server, you'll find a heading "Connections of the client stations to the server". This will give you all there is to know. This information could then lead to the code below.

Hi Nouman,

WD also has a universal replication feature built-in. Universal meaning that it is database vendor independent. You might want to look at that as well. Check out the online help. Haven't used it, but read about it somewhere.
