G'day All
Is anyone running branches in the SCM ?
I have a project running under SCM but when I try and create a branch I get a message:
scm:\Windev Projects\ProjectName is not a project
Branches are created by SCM for Entire projects only.
I don't see why the SCM thinks it is not a project when it is in the SCM database and can be "opened as a project from SCM" in the file menu
Without the branching I can't see any real point in bothering with all the other overheads of running under SCM
Regards

Problem is quite old but in case someone else runs into the same problem just like I did. (using Windev 23)
On adding a new project into the SCM I first created a new Folder and. Unlike the other SCM-Projects this Folder didn't have a "wd" overlay on the Icon. The SCM would not recognize the installation as a separate Project.
To get it to work I deinstalled the SCM Project. Restarted Windev and reconnected to the SCM (following the message in an Errorbox). I then installed the Project without selecting a folder. Now it works fine. |
