Hi,
I recently purchased the native driver for sybase for WinDev v17.
The native driver requires a "libsybdb.dll - DB-Library" from Sybase.
I tried to download the "Sybase database client software" from http://www.sybase.com/detail… but are not able to download (download get`s stopped in the middle of the download) - I will offcourse tell Sybase, but for the moment I really need this DLL now and wonder if anybody already got it for win x86/64 and can share?
I just want to test a connection to Sybase that`s going to use the native driver in a short time.

Hi,
I`ve been able to download the "Sybase database client software" since I posted
But the missing libsybdb.dll is not included in the install of the client software from sybase.
Seems like the Sybase native driver is using libsybdb.dll as included in DB-Lib from Sybase, DB-lib is not supported anymore (since 2009) if my reading of sybase`s docs are correct.
The "new" CT-Lib is now the one supported.
Or am I wrong?

Hi Tor-Bjarne,
this is typically a problem to contact PC Soft Tech Support for! I believe that no one can solve this problem except PC Soft. The guy/s who made the D/A software should have enough expertise.
Kind regards, Guenter |
