I am considering WinDev for a cross-platform Mac/Windows application, and I am worried by the "W language" that seems to be the standard way to develop. The web site mentions lots of other languages, but it's not clear whether you can program directly in, say, C++, or whether it only generates code for export and then you're on your own. Would you folks recommend WinDev for doing the Windows GUI side of a cross-platform app, where much code is shared between the two? Can it handle this in a sort of standard IDE fashion and be a good alternative to MS Visual C++? Thanks for any help! Glenn Reid |
