My WD8 (English) is missing the MS Word Example and I have have also searched the forums (english) but can not find an example of how to:

1. Launch Word from a WD program for the purpose of the user making a mail merge template based on data in current table/File

2. Launch Word to effect mail merge using template defined in step 1.

If anyone has an example (in english) then it would be much appreciated.

Regards,
Scott

Hello Scott,

did you look at the example "WD8 Spelling Checker"?

Hi Raymond

Yes I did - but from that I could not derive exactly what I needed to achieve... It seems that the missing example (Word Control I think it is referred to as) may be more helpful... it is listed as an example in the Guide but is not found when you try and run it - message given tells one to reinstall WD8 but no use in that as the referenced example is not on the install CD for WD8 English. I have asked PC Soft if it exists - maybe they will send me some more info..

Scott

PC Soft have sent me the missing example - in French. The issues with that are - I don't know French, and secondly, from blindly clicking on the menu options in the example it does not address my needs anyway. If any one else can jump in with an example of what I suspect is a pretty standard requirement in many developed apps then I would be most greatful.
