Hi all,
Lost a few days battling an issue that appears to have been caused by an OSX update on Nov 17th. At least that is my theory since I haven't changed any other settings on the machines.
I use a Macbook pro with Windows running in Parallels. I have always simply generated the iOS app on the windows side, opened the folder and chose the "Show in finder" option to open on the mac. Then I'd simply double click on the XCode project file to open and compile.
After the update, compiling either failed completely with a Mach-O compiler error or just went all wonky. After countless hours of troubleshooting and testing (Patrick at PCSoft even helped out with testing) I finally determined that XCode was locking certain files on the windows side. This meant that even though I thought things were compiling properly they were not. I was clued into this fact when I chose to upgrade the project and got an Unable to access a directory (.cpl) / Access denied.
Armed with that information I decided to add an "Action after generation" script that would copy the entire XCode project onto the mac partition and then compile from there. Once I did this, everything started working normally again.
Hopefully this will save someone else some frustration.
And thanks once again to Patrick for testing various scenarios on his machine.
Cheers! Ken |

Hi
I'm running fine with wm19 and compiled 100% ok with IOS 7.1 or below with Mac OS 10.10.1 Yosemite except it doesn't give 8.1 and they're all running OK while deploying to iPAD2/Air, iphone 5S (got not iphone 6 to test out, any clue?).
Thx

Hi King,
When you say, "... it doesn't give 8.1 ..." are you saying you can't get it to compile on 8.1 or 8.1 doesn't show up as an option?
Thanks, Ken |

Hi Ken
It meant that it didn't show up 8.1 or above but only 7.1 and below version when compiling in my iMac mini of 10.10.1for wm19 and I'm not sure if I could inject SWIFT codes inside wm19 but I'm sure that wm20 should cover such. There're lots stuff wm19 don't support and have to write xcode inside wm19.
I'm ordering iphone 6+ for further testing and let you know how good it is with wm19.
Cheers
King |
