If you are talking about the PC Soft Web Server and HFSQL the short answer is yes.
Before you attempt to install it on a cloud server I would highly suggest you do it it on your own computer. You can download Oracle Virtual Box for free. This will allow you install everything and test it on a VM. For testing you can install both DB and Web Server on the same instance.
The PC Soft Linux versions of the web server and database are deployed with your copy of the PC Soft products. The free version of the Web Server supports 10 users.
You can read all about how to do it by reading the documentation provided by the "fabulous" Uncle Pete, a separate guide is provided for the server, database, and web server. http://www.thenextage.com/wordpress/…=
If you are familiar with Linux this is not that bad an install. On Virtual Box for connecting and downloading packages set the network adapter up as bridged. Your Linux instance will get an IP Address assigned to it so you can access the internet to download packages and of course connect up to your DB and Web server.
Each flavor of Linux is a little different so some tweaking will need to be done, so that is why I would advise doing this on Virtual Box where you can start over as many times as you need. I have used Centos 6.3 and Ubuntu Server 12.4 and they both work. You can just Google and find them for downloading.
If you are not going to use HFSQL you can install the LAMP stack which will install Apache, My SQL, and PHP.
Good Luck! |
