Hi Darren.
I have looked at several of these javascript based apps. Cool and can do a lot. Some are free some are verry cheep that is cool as well.
But I have always come back to the cool wx stack. If you want to make something that works and if you are not a native programmer, like me Iam just a person who started programming with no programming education. Then the scripting needs be simple and easy to understand. This is where wx rocks. Wlanguadge is simple so when you make complicated scripts they still stay readeble and understandeble.
Indeed as a "None programmer"With a good understanding of windev I have created an accouting application that can compeet with the big players. Companies that have several programmers / architects and testers. I did it all by myself. And it is all because of the power and easy to use Windev.
It is all about ease of use and speed. For instance at first I didnot make the backup feature. I relied on the hyperfile server to make scedualed backups. But for a client this went wrong he sceduled the back up at night, when his computer was off. Because of this sometimes backups where not made. Then when something went wrong he couldnot reset from a recent back up. So I decidend to makethe backup proces a feature in the app. It took 1 day to add everything.
Partial back up / backup of whole server/ ways to specify where backup needs be stored everthing. Well That is speed.
Webdev is a bit limited but even for webdev I have not found a better solution.
I donnot know about mobile since I havenot used it.

It's that time of year again where my thoughts turn to WX renewals and I thought I'd pass on "new" (to me) dev systems that may not have been mentioned on this forum in the past.
I'm currently "toying" with the idea of extending my WX involvement to include WDM and I'm weighing up the pros and cons :confused: |

Similar to what is provided by Native Script I would repeate someone who has already posted here before.
Use SmartFace. It is easier to setup and use and free to develop app the only catch is that you cannot change its signature.
I have not had time to play with it yet but from what little I have explored it, it looks promising.
