I am running WxDev 19 & 20 pre-release (WD, Web, Mobile) on a Windows 8.1 Professional VirtualBox VM on a Mac. Sometime in the past week Windows Update ran. To my knowledge this is the only change to the VM. Now none of the dongles are recognized. I found an FAQ that suggested running the haspdinst.exe program from the installation disk via the command prompt (-r to remove it and then -i to install it), but that did not work. Has anybody run into this issue before? Are Windows Updates something which has plagued WxDev products or is this peculiar to either Windows 8 or a Virtual Machine, or possibly the combination of Windows 8 on a VM?

Thanks,

Jim

Hi Jim

I did not have that problem, but the thing to do in a case like this is
to download the LAST version of the driver from aladdin and try with
them (as the one from install disk predates the windows update)

Best regards
