Control security doesn't work in WB17. Which version of WB does it work? Who has tried it?

Could be I'm using terminology from another framework I used to develop in. I thought that was the name given to managing access to the various controls (buttons and edit fields).
Whats it called?

Yes, user groupware. I've got access security and menu security to work for wb17 but not for the controls. Any help would be wow.
