Hi,
After spending hours of development on a window, and project scope creep is happening, I realize the window should be named "different" instead of "regular". Scope creep is where the project requirements get changed mid-stream in development. This is very normal and the toolset must be able to accommodate for it without making us start over and losing time already spent.
So, to test this, I changed the os file's name by removing the EXPRESS_ part and saved. In the project explorer I tried to add the window back to the windows section, but there is no option. I then tried adding it by opening file and get an "off project file, do you want to add dialog?" I say yes and WinDev19 crashes.
How do I change the window's name, both physical and logical?
Doesn't WinDev offer us the flexibility to do such trivial things?
Thanks, Stanley |

Hello Stanley
I must admit I have never seen any logical reason for the two names - physical and logical and for me it only causes problems. The short answer is to change the name of a window, I open the window and then SaveAs with the new name and then delete the original window. Renaming outside the project just doesn't work.

| Hi Stanley, the solution is to save the window using "save as" under the new name and delete the old one after that. |
