Hello,
I have a need to find the UUID of the iPhone on which my app is running.
How can I get that?
TIA

Do you want it from within you app? I don't know if it's possible.
When your iPhone/iPad connect to iTunes and you press with your mouse on serialnumber you will see the UUID and more information.

Hello,
I want it in my app at run time and I am going to encrypt all the files saved by my app using the UUID as the encryption key.
I don't want to use anything except the UUID.
TIA

Hi Yogi
To the best of my knowledge this used to be available but the OS vendors no longer allow it. I seem to recall it had something to do with unsolicited and menacing ads.
We use the notification service to pick a unique ID for the device and app. That works like a charm.

Hello Andre,
Quote André Labuschagné We use the notification service to pick a unique ID for the device and app. That works like a charm. Can you explain this a bit more please?

Hello Andre,
Thanks for your reply. Just to clarify at my end...
You mean to say that we have to call Pupsh Notification service on iOS and it will retrieve the UUID of the Device?
TIA
