Hi,
you can find a short introduction to the WEBDEV implementation of the alpha360 erp here:

Hi,

although this looks nice at the first glance, I have to say, that PCSoft have failed with webdev as a IDE for developing web applications.
There are many reasons and they are familiar to people using webdev.
Windev is OK, but I have dropped Webdev as a tool.
I advise to use some other IDE or platform to build professional web applications.

Hi

it's not because YOU have failed to create professional applications
with webdev that everybody has.

I have been working with webdev for a long time now (since version 11),
and while not perfect, it is doing the job when you know what you are doing.

Best regards

Hi Fabrice,

no I have not failed. I have build it. I have build even one project in PHP by using Webdev.
But it is not just about reaching the finish line (as you said getting it done), it is also about what is behind - how is something build and achieved.
In case of Webdev, the fact is that in most cases you are searching for workarrounds and ways to deal with it were other platforms have this already implemented in a far more easier, cleaner, better way and UP-TO-DATE with web standards.

I understand YOUR commitment to Webdev, but the truth is, that Webdev as a tool for developing web applications , comparing to others on market (some of them even FREE) falls back to the very end of the list.

I don't know what future releases of Webdev will bring to us, but currently, Webdev is out of scope for me.
