Hi,
can anybody confirm that my lovely tool "Code History" did not work anymore ?
It always says that the code is identical, but thats not true. |

| SCM Compare is still working for me. Where is this Code History tool? |

I don´t use SCM.
It is at the right in the "Code" Menu, than "History->show the history of modification".
It saves my life several times in the past when I delete something. Now it´s broken.
It looks like they internal use a query for that and forget the tabledisplay at row selection.
No hope to fix this.  |

| I just started using WinDev V22 recently. Maybe it's because my projects all use SCM, but I'm not seeing a History option on the Code ribbon. Which Ribbon Group does it belong to under Code? |

Under "Other actions"
I have Procedures, Navigation, Edit, Brakepoints, Checkmarks, Languages, Target Code and Other actions |

Hi,
I have never paid attention to this option before, but now that I've been looking, I found that there is an option for the code editor to save the history of code modification, and in my windev 22 project, it is off by default.
Could it be it?

Under "Other actions" all I have is "Create a favorite" and "Statistics". I just checked the documentation. It's not showing because I don't have "Save the history of code modifications" enabled. I don't need it because I use the SCM, and I don't trust WinDev enough to enable it. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. You might check to make sure you still have this option enabled.

Hi Fabrice,
yes is off by default.
Turn it on, write code, save, write another code and save it. Then you can compare the 2 versions (In WX14-WX21) |

| My advice is use the SCM. It is far more powerful than you might realise (such as comparing code changes between versions). I think a lot of people just think it is for multi developer use. As a single developer I find it totally invaluable. |
