Hello all. Due to a slow connection to a clients site developed and running with WB18 app server. I need to update the site via a patch vs the whole 2.4gb install. When creating the full install, there is no selection to allow patch's as is in WD. When I then try to generate a patch for this project, nothing happens. Any help will be most appreciated. |

Hi Jim
2.4 GB for a web site install? Really? How many thousands of pages do you have? A typical web site install is a few MB (or 10s of MB)
Are you sure you are not including files that have nothing to do in the installer (like a test DB, by example)?
Best regards |

Thanks Fabrics. My project is not that big. When I generate à project setup. In the install folder, I get 3 items called install. A folder, an app, and a small zip file. In the folder called install, there is a zip with the project name. This zip is 2.4gb. When I try to see its contents, there is another zip called _modauto (only 33kb). I can't see any other files? Not sure what 'hot air/junk' is making this so large. Puzzled here. I did move and install this on another local machine and it installed correctly. ??? Thanks Jim
Just opened it with wdzip and can see contents. This biggest file included is a file named "2014-02-08.wmv". What is this? |

I found it. Was a large video file located in the project directory. Oops. I would still like to know if patch's work.
Thanks |
