I am trying to install HFSQL server by running WX190PACKUSHFSQLCS056.exe. When I run the file a screen asks me if I want to extract the setup program into the directory C:\HFSQL Server - Setup. I press the "Extract" button, the screen disappears and nothing happens.

This is the case if I execute the file on both my Dev machine and my server. I have tried running as Administrator but it makes no difference.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Many thanks,
Michael

Hi Michael

download it again in case it's broken?

Best regards

Thanks Fabrice.

30A190056s is described as an upgrade.
So do I need to install 30A190044t before 30A190056s?

I have tried running the database installer WX190PACKHFSQLCS.exe on both my development pc and my server. It runs OK on my development machine but I can't get it to run properly on the server. When I run as administrator I get a little flash of (what I assume is) the extractor appearing and then nothing, as if a security setting is blocking it. It is the very same file that runs OK on my Dev PC.

What's baffling is that the WAS installer runs OK, but the HFSQL installer doesn't. One would have thought that if there was a security setting blocking it, it would block both.

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks,
Michael

Hello Michael

All the .exe files from PCSoft are self unpacking zip files so maybe try unpacking them into their components ?

Hi Michael,

on the server create a directory (on your c:\ drive) and copy the the downloaded file to this directory.
Now RUN the install from this directory and everything should work just fine.
Don't try to run the install from a directory on your desktop

It seems that several of the repeatedly downloaded files were corrupted. I guess I must have had an unreliable connection.

I tried once again and now everything installs OK.

Thanks everyone.

Michael
