Ok, it is time to say good things about PC Soft.
Our Server had some problems, the hard discs reported errors, so they where changed , and I decided to rebuild the server from scratch.
On this server is running SCM18 for windev projects, and TFS Express for the old FoxPro projects.
Installing HFSQL took about 10 Minutes, then installing the SCM Database and uploading the projects .... lets say 30 Minutes.
Ok, let's install TFS.
- while rebuilding the server I installed the M$ security compliance manager, which installs the SQL Server 2008 Express.
- Then I Installed TFS, which quitted with an error message that it need SQL Server Express 2008R2
- OK, deinstalling SQL Server 2008, installing 2008R2
- Trying the Security Compliance Manager, which was claiming not to be configured using SQL Server 2008R2
- Ok, deinstalling Security Compliance Manager, and reinstalling it, using SQL Express 2008 R2 .... it works now
- Next Try to install TFS ... sucessfull
- Connecting to TFS(2011) with VS2010 ... I can not add users <img src="/NG2013_WEB/ui/smiley/2.gif" align=absmiddle border=0 alt=":(">
- googling around .... after 1 hour googling ... ok, TFS 2011 needs VS2011 or VS2012
- Installing VS 2012 and starting ... error message: This program (VS2012) has known compatablity problems with your OS (win7)
- googling around, finding patch on M$ homepage, installing it
- Starting VS2012 .... and trying to connect to my project and map it to my local files
- Error Message: The blabla files are already used by .... (the old VS2010 installation)
I am going to bed now, and will never ever claim about PC Softs bugs
