Hi
I will be running a windev 19 developed applicaiton on a new server. It is ok to install the HFSql 20 (due to ease of use by administration) or will I be better off using HFSql 19?
Thanks Noel |

Hi Noel,
Feel free to use the version 20. The only "warning" is that the Control Center has been revamped quite a lot and in the very first version it was a bit shaky. But it should be good by now. On the HFSQL C/S server side, we are on the version 20 since the first release in December and we have nothing to report. All is working well.
Best regards, Alexandre Leclerc |

Alexandre, a bit off topic, but do you find any difference compared to hfsql19? If performance is better again, that's enough reason for me to upgrade some of my clients. |

Hi Arie,
Unfortunately we do not have "big enough" databases to see performances changes or issues. I can just say "it works as it should". (If I think of something, I'll come back to this thread.)
That being said, the Control Center has been and still is a "problem" for me because the interface has changed a lot. I do not have the time to take to familiarize myself with it so every time I need to do something I feel lost and wasting some time in finding the things I need. I know that with time I will get used to it, but this is actually the only "problem" I have in version 20.
Best regards, Alexandre Leclerc |
