Hi,
After a reinstallation of my computer i have a problem with webdev 19.
Os is Windows 7 64 bit pro.
When I do a modification to a window and then save this back I get Always the next message.
"The 'child' element has not been included in the library.
A recompilation or a repair of the project may allow you to restore the situation"
This had worked fine in the same configuration before the reinstallation of my computer.
This is not just for this window but for every window.
The strange thing is when I open te same project as it is within a 32 bit OS 7 Pro there is no problem.

Hi,
What version of WB do you have installed on your 64bit o/s machine? There are several threads on this forum that discuss how (erm), unpredictable the 64bit versions of the WX products can be. |

Hi Darren,
I Always use the 32bit version of the windev products.
So 32 bit version on a 64bit os.
This had worked fine untill last week I had to reinstall my computer. :confused:

Hi,
In that case I would definitely think about the "standard" fixes for this type of thing; search for "cpl" on this form to get some ideas of what you could try. It could also be a registry issue? |

Hi
as you reinstalled your MACHINE, I'm guessing that you may need to exclude webdev and your project directories from your anti-virus scrutiny (which was probably done on the old machine)

Nope nothing :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused:
I even shut down all antivirus firewal etc but still nothing.
I use my Vm machine (32 bit) and everything works fine even on the same directory with the same project. :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused:
I even try to open the examples but every time I try to create the lib still the same.

Hi all,
Problem solved.
Wat did I?
I remove everything from the reg file that looked like "pc soft" or "windev" or "webdev".
Then I just restart the applications and RARA it worked.
Why I do not know but an other day lost! :angry:
Any way it works now but it would be nice that the error message could be a little more clear.
