I have a software using WD17 that was originally developed using HFSQL Classic.
I convert it to work with HFSQL Client Server.
It works great on my PC as long as I am accessing the HFSQL Server which is installed on my PC.
But the moment I try to access HFSQL server which is up and running on another PC in our LAN I keep getting the message Connection to Server 192.168.1.99 was interrupted.
I have checked on the other PC with the HFSQL Control Center that the server is running properly.
How to solve this problem?
Why can't we just connect to HFSQL Server on another PC?
Please guide me.
TIA

Hi
Just a few things you could check : - is there a firewall blocking port 4900? - how is the analysis of your project? I would recommend to set all your database files to classic files (as default). - Is your HFSQL server on Windows or Linux? If Linux and you are using the user groupware then there could be an issue.

Joris,
Thanks.
First tip did the trick. I had forgotten that I will have to open the port 4900 in Firewall of the PC where HFSQL server is running.
The whole project is using HFSQL Classic. At run time I am changing connection to Server after reading various settings from a .INI file.
