This problem seems to be very sever for me.

I am show user a window in which there is a Looper showing name of students and their roll number in Static controls. There is one Edit control in which the user has to enter marks. I have programmed the control's Key Down (WM_KEYDOWN) event to capture the key pressed by user and store it in a variable, but this event just does not file at all!

What to do I don't understand.

TIA

Does your Looper-control catcht the event instead of the edit control? Does the event fire at all for WinDev-Mobile?

I have not programmed anything in the Looper Control.

I have just programmed in the events of Edit Control.

The only event I found to be working is the FocurGain event of Edit Control!

You could see if the event is firing on the Looper control -- if it is, then it's just a simple task of relaying the event to the proper edit control.

If it's not then you could look into catching the On-Modifiction event instead.

I am trying to catch the OnModification event but it is never getting fired

Do you know if WinDev-Mobile supports the event? When we started on our first mobile app here at work (about a year ago) we first tried WinDev-Mobile and found it very limited in its feature-set and was absolutely atrocious for performance. We ended up going the HTML5/CSS3/JS route and now have a beautiful, responsive product that our clients use every day.

For your specific problem, could always build your own keyboard screen. Instead of popping up the phone's native keyboard just pop up your own screen. It's a bit of a job but you'd get to handle it 100%. Just a thought!

Hi Andrew,

and was absolutely atrocious for performance

interesting and I agree. But in most of muy cases still good enough.

I onder which tools you use for HTML5/CSS3/JS...

We've used GWT + Xamarin + Phonegap as well as Chrome's and Firefox's developement tools. We were hoping to do the majority of the app using Xamarin but we found it a little slow and clunky as well.
