Hi
How are android apps normally distributed for private (corporate) use? Is Google Play Store still the way to go?

Hi Paul,
the google play store is the way to go if you don't want to force the users to go into setings and check "authorise installing from other sources". That point may be considered a security risk by some company.
And consider this: the "internal" app that you distribute on google store could -ALSO- be an external app doing some advertisement for the company, giving some information, etc. Of course, the internal stuff would then be protected by a passcode.
Best regards |

Hi. If you want publish an app in Google Play Store you need too offuscate the code generated by WM. The apps generated doesn't hide passwords or configuration strings or classes. For me it's a great faulty in current WM.

I would copy the APK file to a download location on the corporates website. Users can download it from there. (don't forget to ath the APK extension as a valid MIME type) Maybe your customer also has a employees portal or some other login-scenario, which handles the unauthorised download of your app. |
