Hi Michael,
Who knows... I don't know how seriously they consider their international market, nor do I have any idea about its size compared to their French version turnover.
I myself use both (French and English), so their numbers may be unreliable to some extent if they base their sales figures simply on the type of license (F<>E)...
I wonder often how hard it can be to deliver both a French and an English version simultaneously. It shouldn't be too hard as the translation can be done in parallel I guess. It's probably just a question of priorities from PCSoft and looking at that track record I doubt we will see any major improvements in that area soon.
It's hard to understand why in a globalized world with a planetarian market reach and a single global product range a company like PCSoft still has so much focus and priority on its local French market... That probably explains as well why the WX Suite remains a real niche product on a global scale...
Anyway, looking at the typical timeline, I guess we'll have an announcement for V21 this month somewhere, so if there still will be an English update for V20 it will probably be the last one...

Hi Michael,
if you check on the windev website , download section , if you look at previous version , you will notice there will be at least one update for every version. |

Hi Guys,
don't get your panties in a twist. The french version published yesterday is just first quality level (ie automatic tests only)....
Now, all the french developers in a tizzy are going to use it and send back bug reports to pcsoft, while pcsoft is also testing it internally...
In about a week, there should be a second level quality version published, and at this point, they will also publish the US version, generally 2 or 3 days after the french one, sometime sooner.
So just relax and appreciate the fact that YOU are not the beta testers
