I have been asked to quote on re-writing a project. The original project was written in PHP (circa 2010) and the data is in MySQL both of which I have access to. I have been using WinDev for about a year but have no experience with WebDev. Although I can read PHP (with help from Google), I have never programmed in it. I do however have over 35 years programming experience. Could WebDev be used to "reverse-engineer" the original program?

Hi Garry,
Webdev can generate PHP (but it is lacking a number of functions, in this case, so thats a bad idea), and when in that specific mode, can use procedures written directly in php.
that's about it...
I do no think that there is any tool to import php code available.
So I guess that you'll have to rewrite the thing based on it's current behavior and your analysis of it's code.
Best regards
