Hi All
Simple question; I am currently testing WebDev with the free 10 user application server. When on buys the unlimited user license is it just a simple case of entering a license key on the server, or something like that, or does it all need to be reinstalled?
TIA |

Hi JP
unfortunately, the real server needs to be installed instead of the test one. and THEN you will have to enter the key.
Best regards |

A little off topic.. but I think that this info is common knowledge for you experts.
If I'm working with WD20 and I want to use my webservices in some production environment (obviously requiring more than 10 connections) can I buy now licences for App Server 20? Or I buy license for 21 and works with App Server 20 (as dongles)? Or I have to user App Server 21 that can eat V20 webservices?
Thank you. |

Hi Stefano,
yes you can install V21 and during the install dialog you choose " host older webdev versions". |

Hi Stefano, Maybe I am doing something wrong, but I cannot (automatically) install webservices developed with WD 20 on a v21 App Server. I install the v21 10 user app server - selecting "host older webdev versions" - and then when I run the installation of my WD20 webservice, it says it cannot find an app server !!!
Seems like the install generated by WD20 cannot recognize the v21 web app server. I can go on and install them manually, but I prefer to reconstruct the webservices with WD21 and move on ...
