After an unexpected power failure I am getting an error on this file every time that I open the project I was working on at the time. Any solution? Garry |

Hi Garry,
Which WX product? Do you mean opening the dev API or the Analysis? |

WinDev22. Problem occurs when opening the project. The message is "Unable to update the information shared among the project and the analysis. Unable to copy c:\MyProjects\FTM\RadProp.mmo file to c:\MyProjects\FTM\RadProp.mmo. The system cannot find the file specified. Garry |

Hi Garry,
Is WD correct in what it is saying? I.e. is the file actually there or not? I would start by repairing the project. If that doesn't do it, then you might start looking at the actual file, making sure the file in question (or your last known good version) is where it should be and then try reindexing. As a last resort, you might have to go back to backup? |

On closer inspection I found the file was actually missing. I was confused because there was a file called RadPropp.mmo. I then copied the file from the only Analysis directory that exists for this project but that only changed the error message to cannot access the file because it is in use by another process. I assume the file is the memo file attached to RadProp.fic which is a file that gets generated by WinDev for every project... for what purpose I'm not sure. If I try and open RadProp.fic with WDMap it asks for a password but it is a password probably only known to PCSoft. Re-creating this project will not be difficult since I had just started it but I'm curious to what is going on. Garry |
