Hi Forum,
I have a stupid question regarding hmodifystructure(), but I found nothing in the help. Would hmodifystructure() only update a database or would it also downgrade?
So what would happen if:
I make an update to a Programm with a Change of the Analysis and call hmodifystructure, and after that an old Version of the same program would start? If the old Version also calls hmodifystructure() would the database be changed to the old Version?
Thanks for help!
Stefan. |

Hi Stefan
not it wouldn't. There would be no way to upgrade a system if it wold, as there are ALWAYS straggler when it comes to updating.
The OLD program will have an error message saying that the file definitions do not match.
Best regards |

Hi Fabrice,
thanks, that is what I hoped and expected.
I could avoid the old Programm to Crash using hcheckstructure(), right?
Best Regards
Stefan. |
