We just moved two applications to WD 21 that require wdmod210.dll to be installed. It is in the list of files to be installed. However, we found that the install process removes the dll if it is already there but installs it if it is not. Thus every other install ends up without the dll.
Anyone else having this issue or know why? |

Hi Jeff,
I had this issue when I moved to WD21.
There is an option in WDINST - 'Delete the former frameworks found in the destination directory' - If you uncheck this option, then the wdmod210.dll is retained when upgrading your application.
I'm guessing the internal verison on the dll is incorrect and the installer removes it, because it thinks its part of the former framework.
Thanks Ned! |

| Thanks, Ned. We also found that if you check the option on the file in the setup to repllace even if newer and to not install if already exists that it does not delete the dll. We also checked Rename as well just for safety. Then you can leave the option to delete old dlls. |
