Hi

did you already apply the patch for the printing dll for windows 10?

We talked about it at length here.

Best regards

King is using v22. I thought the printing patch was for versions up to 21?

Hi

That's all I have

09/14/17 02:18 PM 1,636,864 wd220pnt64.dll

I guess it's the latest, by the way, I did shoot the error to pcSoft to see
what's going on.

It's OK for wd22 on Windows 10-64 bit, by far.

Anyway, I can manage it with another wb22AppServer on Windows 7 only.

Scary...

Thx guys

Yes curtis, you're right, there's no such patch on v22 of the link you gave me.

I still haven't got any reply from pcSoft, it's said 1-2 days I'd should an reply in most
case but I couldn't figure what's wrong as no GPF running wd22 after I converted it
from wb22 to wd22 (100% ok)...

hopefully or I hate w10-64bit forever, falling into an endless bugs trap.

I know how infuriating that is. Wish I could help.

Windows 10 Spring update is just around the corner. I hope it doesn't come with any nasty surprises.

Curtis

pcSoft came back to me and thought I was using old version but they're all latest perhap
the GPF gave windows 8 OS and asking me to use all latest webdev 22 version of which
I stated to them I was.

Perhaps mine is the latest HP-DL380 Dual Xeon Silver 4110, 64GB RAM and all
enterprised SSDs running on Windows 10Pro-64bit with new sqlServer 2017 and
of course wb22h AppServer + hfSql22 (all latest version), all wb22 printFunctions
are in GPF but running 100% good on Windows7-64 on same machine, same apps.

Initially, I thought it's matter with IIS_IUSR grant to print issue, but ...

Any clue, if pcSoft can't solve this with latest patch and who can help
but I can't run sql2017 in Windows 7 as 10 is min.

Any help is highly appreciated.

Thx

hi

just checking... you DO have a printer declared on that machine, a driver installed, and a DEFAULT printer set, right?

Because I have seen people looking desperately for something when it was just that they were printing on... nothing...

Of course every printer set and done and it's my first time to hit GPF since wd7.5.

Thx

Actually, it could be wb22 server problem but I could print in windev 22 with same version of wd220prn64.dll (even lined up same version on wb22AppServer).

I guess it doesn't like Xeon Silver CPU from pcSoft.

Besides, I test purely with HTML file without wb22Server) and can print and
works a charm.

Better leave it to pcSoft or they might ask me to upgrade to wb23...

Now that is interesting...

If printing with the same dll works from windev 22 on that machine, then the only difference is that the USER running the webdev site is different than the one you log in for testing...

So, it looks like your problem is a permission setting. You can either try to change the permissions for iUser (or however the webdev user is named) or to try and change what user is running the webdev site.

If the problem is with the user and you are using IIS change the configuration to use the windows authentication to run the web and the desktop with the same user and test it.

Yes, I did test all before yr msgs and change all rights to IUSR with hopeless and even I could see in print spooler regardless users, windev can print and not webdev even
the user is Admin/System with hopeless. The test even run on the same machine with
GPF results indeed. I even uninstall/reinstall from version p to h with hopeless.

Besides, it's a clean installation, no webdev dev. tools, just hfSQL/wb22 + sqlServer.2017.

I couldn't figure out it works 100% on windows 7 with wb22 but not on Windows 10.

Anyway, thx for you guys, I'll leave it to pcSoft.
