| WB23 - Final reelase version |

Hi All
Anyone have an idea when the final release version will be released? I have the pre-release but do not want to start anything serious until the final release is ready.

Hi,
If you look at what happened with WX22 last year; the Final version was 9th June, then Update 1 was 24th July and final-final (Update 2) version was 4th Oct, so can only assume WX23 will be similar?
As for WX21, the Final version was 20th April, then Update 1 was 21st June and final-final (Update 2) version was 27th Oct.
You can pick the pieces out of that... :confused:
...and yes, I wouldn't do too much deep and meaningful stuff with the current WX23 pre-release version if I were you. |

Hi Darren,
I'm using WD23 from start of the English version. Of course, I had the French version before from December 2017, as I believe.
- WD23 is much, much better than WD22. The most annoying issue in WD22 had been the notorious vTable error which hit me at least once a day, on some days more often than that. vTable error disappeared completely. There were some other GPFs in WD22, which I don't see too. However, I've had two problems with WD23 so far ... WD23 completely stopped working and disappeared without giving any error message. From one second to the next it hadn't been there anymore. Of course, it asked for a compile run after restart and some work disappeared also.
- RAD11 is only available with the 32-bit version. But there. it works just fine as in WD22 and before.
- I have yet to check the "new features" of WD23, I'm still under heavy pressure of time with two of our projects. But as soon as possible I'll do that. |

Thanks for the info. Do you install 23 on the same machine as your 22 or do you use a new machine? If the same machine - any problems to work on 22 projects and 23 projects on the same machine? I ask because although PCSoft say this is OK I have previously found problems when I installed 22 on the same machine as 21. When I tried to run my 21 projects they hit problems after installing 22 on the same machine.

Hi. No problem having multiple versions of WX on the same machine, I currently have WX20 to WX23 installed. If you use a previous project with a more modern installation WX will first back up the old project before importing into the new version.
The only problem I have is with WB: When using different versions of the IDE, Apache must be reconfigured with the AWP path.

Hi
I currently have version 5.5, 7.5, and 15..23 FR + US installed on my development machine with zero problems... The 'problem' described by Ruben is not a problem per se... when you want to test with wb XX, the system NEEDS to be configured for that version, and you get a warning message and an automatic correction tool to deal with it...
Of course, all that is installed the old fashioned way, with a whole program in ONE directory.

| Hi JP, there have been problems in old times ... as far as I remember there have been conflicts in v7.5 to v11, but since v12 everything is fine. |

Has anyone experienced any problem upgrading the WebDev Admin Server from version 22 to 23 or does it upgrade straight forward?
