Hello,
Got an application developed in Powerbuilder. I need to capture an image and store that in the database. Capturing image from powerbuilder seems tricky and easier in Windev.
Any idea of how could capture the image [ in Windev] and transfer that image to another application [Powerbuilder] ?

Hi
there are several possible ways... this is an easy one:
- create a windev project - in it create a window where you do the image capture - always save that image in the same directory (by exemple ftempdir) with a recognizable name (by example MyImageDateTime.jpg) then close. - if user cancels, then write in the same directory a file named MyImageDateTime.CANCEL - From powerbuilder, start/run that application, then loop on checking the content of the directory - when a new MyImagexxxx.xxx appears, check if it is a jpg (sucess) or a .cancel and do what you need to do with the image
Best regards |
