Hi, I am wondering if it is possible to change de caption in the controls before using the Full Application RAD feature. For example, I need the "Validate" button to say "OK" instead.. This would save me a lot of work, is it possible?

Hi Antonio,

we are solely using RAD11 which is available in 32-bit WINDEV. Theoretically, you can make your own RAD schema in WINDEV but we weren't successful to make one for ourselves. In order to modify RAD11 you have to install WINDEV 11 on your PC. The *.MDL files and the windows can be modified to show captions in your language and to show buttons in different size. In WINDEV, you can even make your own style (gabarit) and use RAD11 to generate your application. This is an example how a window of of one of our projects looks right after generation. Of course, code and UI will be modified a lot, but this is the raw look of the window. This is an MDI window and will work without any modifications, just to show it e.g. to a customer:

Antonio, I think I gave you the wrong video link. If you go to https://www.facebook.com/WinDevUS/videos/2657998020881497 and start watching at about 7 mins 25 secs into the video. Andy talks specifically about creating window templates plus the use of "code bricks", etc. Ideally you should watch all of his videos to see what he's doing. You don't have to go the route of the classes that Andy uses but it will give you some good ideas. Another approach is via Glenn Rathke's WinDev Framework. See https://www.wxtraining.net/windev-framework/

Best Regards,
Geoff
