Best way to take regular payments from customers

Hi all

Can anyone advise me of the best method for accepting payments. This could be a one off payment, or a monthly/annual subscription. It needs to be available in all countries, easy to use for the customer and hopefully easy to implement into either and app or website.

I am looking into PayPal but the examples do not seem to work. In this case any example code into using PayPal Minus any passwords etc) would be greatly appreciated.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
